Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim
As Salaamu Alaikum viewers!
When I was a child, I was made to believe Muslims were useless. This was due to the fact that I was ignorant of my own history and heritage. In school, I was mostly taught how the Romans and Greeks had contributed to the world. No mention was made of how Muslims were the ones who preserved and expanded the work of the Romans and Greeks. It was the Muslims hard work the inspired the renaissance of Europe.
I love history because it teaches one lesson in life. As I grew up, I took it upon myself to learn my history. I was inspired by what I learned. It gave me the confidence I lost when I was a child.
It is very important that our children know their history because it will build confidence in them, teach them lessons in life, clear up any doubts, and refute those who spread lies about Islam. Especially, in these times when Muslims are made to look like the Boogey Man, we need to let our children know their history. Studies have shown those who know their history have higher self-esteem and do better in life.
I would like to thank 1001 Invention for the great service they have done for the Muslim Ummah. They have benefited the Muslims Ummah by promoting the history of Muslims. May Allah bless the team of 1001 Inventions.
